《Making Friends》教学设计

【正文】教学目标:
  1.语言知识目标:掌握重点短语和语句:share ...with, a few, make friends with, rely on, in need, it would be too much to do …
  2.能力目标:
  1)对全文大意有整体的理解,使学生了解真正友谊的含义。培养学生获取语言信息和信息处理的能力。
  2)训练学生的阅读方法和阅读技能,提高学生的阅读理解能力。
  3.情感态度目标:在愉悦的教学过程中了解友谊的含义,树立正确的交友观念。
  教学重点:熟练掌握教学目标中的重点短语和语句。
  教学难点:指导学生提高英语阅读能力.
  教学方式:采用任务型的教学模式,引导学生通过自主学习、合作探究等方式发展综合语言运用能力。
  教学手段:运用多媒体教学手段,扩大课堂容量,激发学生的学习兴趣,达到预期的教学效果。
  Step1 Lead-in
  The students watch the video “Auld Lang Syne” and answer the question: What’s the video about?
  T: Today let’s learn “Making Friends”.
  设计说明:播放“友谊地久天长”视频,提出问题,导入新课,凝神点题,激发兴趣。
  Step 2 Pre-reading
  Show the students the pre-reading questions. Have a discussion about the questions below in groups and answer them.
  1.Do you feel like making new friends?
  2.What should a good friend be like?
  设计说明:通过讨论帮助学生在头脑中形成一个“好朋友”信息,掌握完成任务中所需的相关语言知识,为阅读文章打下基础。
  Step 3 Fast reading
  Read “Making Friends” quickly and know about the main idea of each paragraph.

  Step 4?Careful reading and Language Points
  1.Read the text“Making friends”and decide whether the following statements are T (true) or F(false) according to the text .

  3.Explain the important phrases with some examples. 
  设计说明:通过小组讨论、学生合作的方式,获取有用的语言信息,经过分析、比较等一系列的活动解决实际的问题,学生的阅读技巧得到提高。举例讲解重要短语和句型,达到强化学习的目的。

  Step 6 Summary 
  1.The students read “Making Friends”again and write down the missing words on the paper.

  设计说明:通过填词回顾本节课所学的内容,巩固文章的内涵和语言知识,提高对课文的理解和英语口头表达能力。
  2. Show and learn some sentences about friendship. 
  A friend in need is a friend indeed.患难见真情。
  A life without a friend is a life without a sun. 人生没有朋友,如同生活没有太阳。 
  Don’t walk in front of me — I may not follow. Don’t walk behind me —  I may not lead. Just walk behind me — and be my friend. 不要走在我的前面,我可能不会跟着走;不要走在我的后面,我可能不引领你;就和我并肩走吧,只成为朋友。
  设计说明:通过谚语扩大学生知识面,增强学生对友谊的理解,在语言学习的过程中培养学生珍惜真正友谊的态度。
  Step 7 Homework
  1. Pick out the sentences and phrases you can’t understand.
  2.Read “Making Friends” again and do Exercise 1 on Page 65 in the workbook.
